<p style="text-align: justify;">Solutions to Improve the Quality of Employment in EgyptThe COVID-19 pandemic has shifted the attention of policy makers to job creation given the pandemic&rsquo;s negative impact on employment. The importance of job creation should not reduce the importance of job quality to wellbeing and economic sustainability. Job quality remains a very relevant issue in Egypt and in developing countries in general due to the conditions of its labor markets, such as high informality, lack of social security coverage and low earnings. Measuring employment quality is a necessary step to guide and develop policies that improve workers'&nbsp;wellbeing and standard of living. APS has developed an index&nbsp;to measure the Quality of Employment (QoE) in Egypt.&nbsp; The variables included in this index are earnings from work, occupational status, social security coverage, excessive working hours and working in a precarious establishment. Its results indicate that QoE in Egypt has declined significantly during the 12-year period studied.</p>
