عقد مشروع حلول للسياسات البديلة يوم الأربعاء 29 أكتوبر مناقشة مائدة مستديرة تركزت على التقاطع الحاسم بين الانتقال العادل والأمن الغذائي، وذلك في إطار مشروع الجسر الأخضر للانتقال العادل. يجمع هذا المشروع التشاركي بين مشروع حلول للسياسات البديلة، ومبادرة الإصلاح العربي ببيروت، والمعهد المغربي لتحليل السياسات بالرباط، ويهدف إلى تمكين منظمات المجتمع المدني وتعزيز الحوارات السياسية الشاملة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

كان الجزء المركزي من النقاش تقديم الورقة السياسية التي يعدها مشروع حلول للسياسات البديلة والتي تستعرض المسارات الممكنة لضمان الأمن الغذائي في مصر مع السير نحو انتقال عادل في ضوء آثار تغير المناخ على أنظمة الأغذية المصرية. تم عرض النتائج الأولية للورقة، وأدت إلى تبادل غني للأفكار حول تعزيز أطر الحوكمة، ودعم مشاركة المجتمع المدني، وتحقيق التوازن بين الإنتاج الغذائي المحلي والاعتماد على المصادر الخارجية.

Alternative Policy Solutions (APS) convened a roundtable discussion focused on the critical nexus of just transition and food security, held under the umbrella of the Just Transition Green Bridge project, on Wednesday October 29. This collaborative initiative, involving APS, the Arab Reform Initiative (ARI), and the Moroccan Institute for Policy Analysis (MIPA), aims to strengthen civil society organizations and foster inclusive, policy-shaping dialogues across the MENA region.

The session brought together a group of experts from academia, international organizations, and civil society. Participants engaged deeply with current challenges and emerging opportunities for amplifying civil society&rsquo;s impact on food security governance.

Central to the discussion was APS&rsquo; forthcoming policy paper, which examines viable pathways for Egypt to ensure food security while navigating climate change through a just transition lens. The paper&rsquo;s preliminary findings were presented to the group, triggering rich exchanges on enhancing governance frameworks, supporting civil society engagement, and balancing domestic food production with external supply dynamics.
