Description: In order to integrate a gender-sensitive perspective into climate policies, the Egyptian National Council for Women published this set of recommended policy goals and strategies. The recommendations call for multi-sectoral partnerships to promote gender equality and empower women, who suffer uniquely from climate change, through: encouraging a gender-sensitive climate governance strategy; strengthening women&rsquo;s participation in environmental governance; facilitating women&rsquo;s entry into the green economy; providing adequate and tailored health and social care; promoting education and behavioral change; requiring women-specific criteria to assess climate finance opportunities; and promoting knowledge, data generation, and disaggregated analyses with regard to climate change.
