<div style="text-align: justify;">اجتمع قادة العالم في نهاية نوفمبر في مؤتمر المناخ الدولي الذي استضافته دولة الإمارات العربية للبحث عن سبل تخفيف أثر الانبعاثات الكربونية وتأثيراتها على تفاقم الاحتباس الحراري، وتعالت أصوات نشطاء البيئة للمطالبة بالحفاظ على الأشجار حول العالم والتوسع في التشجير لمواجهة آثار الانبعاثات الكربونية في رفع درجة حرارة كوكب الأرض. بالتزامن مع مؤتمر قمة المناخ، يطرح لنا المهندس/ عمرو عصام المتخصص في شؤون التطوير العمراني بعض الأفكار حول سبل الحفاظ على الأشجار بالتوازي مع خطط تطوير القاهرة الجاري تنفيذها والتي وصفت بأنها تقدم حلولا للأزمات المرورية والتي تسببت فعليا في تقليص المساحة الخضراء وقطع الكثير من الاشجار المعمرة في المدينة.</div>

<p dir="ltr" style="text-align: justify;">At the end of November, world leaders gathered for COP28 (the UN Convention on Climate Change Conference of Parties) hosted by the United Arab Emirates to explore ways to mitigate the impact of carbon emissions and their effects on aggravating global warming. The voices of environmental activists rose to demand the preservation of trees around the world. They also emphasized the necessity of the expansion of afforestation to confront the effects of carbon emissions in rising temperatures. Concurrently with COP28, Engineer Amr Essam, an urban development specialist, presents some ideas about ways to preserve trees in light of urban development plans to ease Cairo&rsquo;s ongoing traffic crisis. These plans had caused a recent uproar at the cost of Cairo&rsquo;s already limited green space and the cutting of many perennial trees.&nbsp;</p>
