<h2>توجه مصر نحو الطاقة النووية: حل مستدام؟</h2>
منحت هيئة الرقابة النووية والإشعاعية المصرية (ENRRA) تصريحًا لشركة روس أتوم Rosatom الروسية في مارس 2023 &nbsp;لإنشاء وحدة ثالثة لمحطة نووية بمدينة الضبعة في محافظة مطروح. وكانت الحكومة المصرية قد أعطت نفس الشركة الضوء الأخضر للبدء في إنشاء أولى وحدات المحطة النووية لتوليد الكهرباء في يوليو 2022، وتضم 4 وحدات كل منها بسعة كهربائية 1200 ميجاوات بتكلفة 28.75 مليار دولار.

<h2>Trade in Local Currencies: Would It Help Egypt?</h2>
Turkey is exploring the possibility of trading with Egypt based on the two countries&rsquo; local currencies instead of the dollar, which could double the volume of bilateral trade to USD20 billion in 15 years and boost Turkish investments in Egypt up from USD 2 billion to USD4&ndash;5 billion. Egypt already signed a similar agreement with Russia in January 2023 (finalization requires setting up a technical link between the Central Bank of Egypt and its Russian counterpart and the conclusion of bilateral trade agreements) and is currently seeking to obtain the same deal with India and China.

<h2>Egypt&rsquo;s Move toward Nuclear Energy: A Sustainable Solution?</h2>
In March 2023, the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority gave the Russian company Rosatom a permit to build a third unit of the nuclear power plant in Dabaa, located in the Matrouh governorate. The Egyptian government had already given the same company the green light to start construction on the first units of the plant in July 2022. The plant consists of four units, each with an electrical capacity of 1,200 megawatts at a cost of USD28.75 billion.
